Baby girl’s patchwork memory quilt – part 2

Busy day today. My little girl started school – she’s loving it, although came home quite disappointed that she couldn’t read yet!

It’s been glorious weather here today. Here was my view on the way back to my car this afternoon – not too shabby!

I also managed to get a bit more done on the baby quilt.

Here it is, all pin basted and ready to quilt!

I’ve included lots of cute detailing including some applique:

I’m pretty inspired to get on with the quilting now – I’m planning some pink heart and flower details on some of the plainer panels, then do some echoing in the churn dash and nine patch mini blocks. Finally I think I’ll stitch in the ditch around all the patches. Whew – that’s going to take some quilting – can’t wait!
