Description
This gorgeous keepsake cushion is made from your pre-loved children’s clothing. This is a generous sized square cushion (approx 45cm by 45cm), particularly suitable for including favourite motifs from your child’s clothing.
The patchwork top of your baby clothes keepsake cushion will be made in our Signature Mosaic style, preserving all those cute details from your children’s clothes.
The cushion is backed in your choice from our gorgeous quilt backings (see image in product pictures) or you can provide a piece of fabric at least 50cm square and we’ll use that instead (nursery bedding or curtains work really well here!). There’s also the option to have both sides made from clothing patchwork.
The cushion is supplied with a quality poly pad to minimise allergies. Cushions are lined and professionally finished to prevent fraying. We include a concealed zip closure for a perfect finish.
Choosing Your Clothes
We recommend at least 6 different items of clothing for a cushion to give a good variety of colour and interest to the design. Up to 10 items can be incorporated.
The number of larger motifs that can be accommodated is limited by the size of the cushion, so please do consider this when selecting your clothing – 2-3 motifs per side is often plenty.
If you are having your cushion made alongside a quilt then we can use the same fabrics as your quilt or you can provide extra if you wish.
Hand washing is recommended, reshape while damp.
Care & Use
We recommend spot cleaning for your Baby Clothes Keepsake Personalised Patchwork Cushion. The cushion cover can normally be machine washed if necessary on cool, delicate cycle. Reshape while damp. Do not tumble dry.
The Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths (FSID) recommend that you do not use a duvet, quilt or pillow for children under one year. For more information please see http://fsid.org.uk. Please also note that these items are not toys and may contain small items such as buttons and other embellishments that may present a choking hazard (we can leave these out if you wish). Keep away from fires and naked flames.
