Work in progress – baby girl’s patchwork memory quilt

It’s an extremely windy day here in Scarborough and a flat tyre on the car just added to the normal chaos of a Monday morning!

I thought it might be interesting to show the journey of a patchwork memory quilt from pile of clothes to finished article. My first order has been from a friend who has impeccable taste in clothes for her two girls and I was very excited to rummage through the large bag she handed to me!

Here’s the pile of clothes – aren’t they lovely?

I spent some very enjoyable time sat in the sunshine playing around with designs and layout. Look at this cute mini churn dash block – it makes me smile just to look at it!

and here are some of the bigger blocks cut out and ready to sew:

(loving the mini nine patch!)

I’m super excited to get this quilt finished. I’ll post some more pictures as things move along.

I’ve updated the blog today with some pages about the memory patchwork products I’ll be offering. Have a look and see what you think.

Bee and I are off to make crumpet pizzas for our lunch now – yum yum!

See you later x

Thanks for sharing!
